Earlier this week I posted the first page of my slice-of-life comic Mystic Drive! I'm really excited to be starting this journey, and I hope it will be good experience for the faerie comic i'm planning for the future.

So I was not expecting that selkie character concept I posted the other day to actually have someone request to feature it in their group. Even less so a group specifically for The Song of the Sea. Especially since the only relevance it has to that film is that I was listening to the soundtrack when I got the inspiration for her. And also that she's a selkie... I'm not mad, just kind of confused... I still accepted the request for it to be featured in that group because it would be a good way to get my art out in the public more. I just hope I don't end up with more followers that I'll inevitably lose because I'm not very active here.

I've had a little trouble with sitting down and drawing for over a month now. That on top of binge watching several shows on Netflix, being convinced to get Overwatch for PS4 by a couple of my friends, work, getting back into Stardew Valley, and helping one of my best friends move, I haven't really had much time. On the other hand, I've finally had a little time to start designing one of the major antagonists for Faerie Realm, so that's exciting. I may have to revise him a little, because I'm not sure if I can get the particular feeling I want to invoke from him as he is right now, but that's kind of what these initial stages are for.

I don't promise to be more active here, but I will try to at least stick some early character designs in my scraps.

After talking about it for several months, I've finally started designing the Okami tattoo I've been wanting for years. All I have for the time being is pencil sketches of Amaterasu in a running pose and a few practice doodles of the plants that grow at her paws, and when the cursed zones are purified.

I also have kind of a thought of putting either a blossomed guardian sapling, or Waka in the background, maybe both. I'll probably end up posting the final version here after I get it done and tattooed on my arm.

The reason I'm designing it for myself is because I know exactly how I want it to look, but I'm having a hard time putting the image in my head into words. Particularly because my tattoo artist hasn't played Okami.

I found a random fun little forum post on another site that was basically "google image search your username and post the first image that pops up (but keep it appropriate)". Naturally I decide to join the fun and want to see if any of my random tumblr doodles or selfies come up. The entire first row, and then the majority of the second row were all youtube screen shots of what I can only assume is a somewhat successful let's player using the name.

Which would explain why it was already taken when I tried to use it...

So yeah... That was kind of a trip. Pretty much everything else that popped up was a couple of random things that drew, including a drawing I commissioned her for, and the .hack//fandom thing I did for fandombound/fandomstuck the week that had exploded all over tumblr. And it wasn't even my original post either! It was a reblog of my original post!
